Brandons place

Just applied stripper. It has dried and now its ready for me to sand then paint! I'm still searching for that perfect shade.
Going in a little girls room. The shade has been stripped and the base has been painted to match her room.
I'm thinking black

Do not have a before picture but it was chipped black. I'm finishing off with white, then some fabric to fill in the panels and a votive holder for the candle.

painting a bronze color and then stenciling on some trees to go with the tribal theme in the room. You can still see the chipped paint from before (gold was the original color).

I'm taking gold out of the picture because all the brass fixtures are becoming black or silver. More updated and less dated. So the gold on the lamp will most likely become bronze or copper.
These have been totally recovered with fabric and will be artwork in the master bedroom.
I have already started painting stripes, just following the plaster lines. Copper, silver and black!
You can't really tell in this picture but the finish has started to wear off. Its such a great shape and I do like the color so it will stay about the same just have a new coat!
A new coat of white paint and new cover since it has been ruined my rust, and it will be brand new! Its partner up above will hang right next to it but at different heights. They will go in the guest bath.

These were just 49 cent placemats, but light shines through them so great. They will go in front of a light behind the bar in the living room. Just to add something fun to the background of the bar.
My goal and my clients is to have the living room and guest bathroom done by May 18th for a celebration they are having at the house! I can do it, I can do it! Wish me luck and of course more pictures to come!

Don't throw away a good jar

I always save good jars for food. The more you see the more likely you are to eat it. Since we can't recycle glass where I live it makes it even better.

I was afraid this candle was going to just spill over and love the smell of it. My husband finished the pickles. The jar fit perfect! A little ribbon, and a fancy sticker.
I always display flowers from a wedding or funeral service until they lose there color. Usually there is too many flowers given and there handing them out at the end. There always so beautiful with such a variety. So much money is spent on them they should be cherished for awhile.
More to come..

I keep tape and a marker attached to my fridge to label all those leftovers. It also comes in handy when you make your own snacks too. But then again.. snacks don't last long in our household..

Mel's office/craft room

I found a 75 cent frame with glass at a thrift store, and a placemat for the background. Then printed out the saying I wanted off my computer. Cut out the letters and taped them on the glass where I wanted them placed. Then traced the words with a sharpie. the frame was so ugly I covered it up with ribbon to match the rest of the room.

Made from two pillow shams and left over fabric for the back

hand sewn. Valance is hung up by two clothespins covered with ribbon and a button

Hand sewn, this used to be a sheet it was only $1.99. Also made coordinating pillow with left over fabric. There are two holes behind the pillow tucked into the chair that I ran a long piece of ribbon through to help keep the fabric in place so it wasn't shifting when using the chair.
A beautiful pillowcase I found at a thrift store. only .99 cents. This cover was done by draping the sheet over the chair then I just kept tucking and pinning until it was flush with the chair. The only loose parts of fabric I kept at the sides so it can be taken off in the future to wash if needed.

Melissa wanted an office to work on homework, her photography, daycare business, and also a room where she could spread out and work on crafts and scrapbooking. I took some colors from items she already had and used them for my scheme. She not only has two work stations, but easily accessible mats for her photography needs. Which comes in handy when she has an internet order and they need to be shipped out.
